Yes they do keep the wind form hitting you in the face, but it makes no difference in the wind noise levels. I have them on my 86.

Got'em on my Black 87. Makes the Vette look wider as the mirrors flow into the body with the side deflectors on. I have always had them on...I heard they cut down wind noise. On a design standpoint I can see how . Mine are plastic and well worth the money...cheap Like $29 at Ecklers etc.

It can't be seen unless the door is open. And it's so minor that it's just of no consequence. I had the car for quite some time before I even noticed it, and for a bit longer before it occurred to me how that nick got there. Yawn...

Thanks again for the pizza, Bill!

Be well,

This was my understanding as well and my 87 couple has them also.

I added the plastic ones to my 89 coupe. I like the more molded-into-the-car look it gives them and it REALLY helps cut down on noise too. Since my AC doesn't blow cold air, the windows are down 24/7 when im driving.

Seems kind of normal to me. If it costs $10-12 for rear curtain clips at Mid America/Ecklers, then $25-30 for deflectors is very reasonable.

Really. I have some metal ones to put on now and will be selling my fiberglass ones when I do. I really like them because they significantly cut down on the wind in the face when the window is partially or completely down. All C4s should have come with them. I really miss vent windows.

I have them on my 87. They're metal and held on with rivets. I thought about taking them off for a cleaner look but then thought I'd probably mess something up, scratch or break something trying to take the rivets out, so I just left them on.

If you'll be selling the old ones, I'd gladly buy them from you.
