Anyone know where I can get a inexpensive PKE remote? I didn't get one with the vett when I bought it, only got the keys. Searched the forums and only found how to program the original ones that came with the cars. I don't want to go to the dealer for obvious price they would want. Surely someone makes aftermarket ones that will work. Thanks!

The FOB is the remote - unfortunantely this remote IS very expensive - in most cases close to or over $100.00. I didn't get one with my car so I bought one, but I can't get teh PKE to go into program mode either. The strangest darn thing though, if I go through one particular "EASY PASS" toll booth - the PKE light comes on in the DIC (Driver's Information Center).
If you are having trouble getting the PKE fob work with the car, try replacing the fob battery. It looks like a big watch battery. I got one at Walmart. Then I was able to get the system to program itself to the fob and now it works great.

Ok I have my original fob but it stopped working also, I went today and replaced the battery I think it calls for a Cr2430 and put it in and when I went to reprogram it it wont work for me
The original battery was a Maxell CR2450 3 volt. It had a thinner ring around the positive side so it was in effect about 0.5mm (0.020") thinner than other CR2450 batteries.
The thicker 'normal' batteries won't stay under the barb that engages the positive (larger diameter) side of the battery.
Supposedly (I haven't been able to find one even after much looking) a Duracell CL2450 has the desired 0.5mm thinner size.
So, make sure the fob battery remains in good electrical contact.
Ok I just bought a new cr2450 battery and still nothing I go through the reprograming all the way to when you have the key in the off position go get the fob walk to the car and then the pke light is suppose to stop flashing, well when I do it the light keeps flashing and it wont stop what am i doing wrong?
