I have an after-market stereo in my 88. The place that did the work mounted the amp behind the passenger seat back. This mounting location prohibits the passenger seat from being adjusted all the way back. Where do you guys mount yours??? I asked my place to move it into the hatch area (I don't care if it's exposed, I never leave it parked unattended!!!!), but they balked. Any suggestions??????
I have mine under pass seat. My JL amp fits nicely there, the Crunch amp I had under the seat, required some trimming of the hard plastic at back/bottom of seat. I'll try and dig up a pic of the Crunch amp, it's huge and was totally hidden there.
Found the pic. I also added 1/4'' of plastic to gain a bit more clearance.

THAT IS WHERE I MOUNTED MY JVC AMP, THAN PUT EXTRA WASHER UNDER THE FOUR COLTS THAT MOUNT THE SEAT TO THE TRACK SO THE SEAT MOVES BACK AND FORTH, BEEN THERE SINCE 1995, NO COMPLAINTS.
