I prefer contrasting colors/shades/tints on a car, I've carried the white/black theme throughout the entire car, I think it looks very "clean". But, there are some cars that call out for color, the C5 is best in blue or maroon.
I think white is a very nice "clean" looking color. However, white is hard to keep clean. I've had two white Maxima's, one I still have and now we have a white Infiniti. I think they all look great, but they just get so dirty so fast and really seem to show every little blemish. When I was looking to buy a Vette, I took a look at a white one. My wife immediately said, "not another white car!" That was really her only stipulation on the Vette purchase - that I can live with.

Personally, I don't think white is all that hard to keep clean. I bought white because I think they are easier....but whatever. I have a white Bonneville SSEi (wife's car) and one stipulation she had was it had to be white. Funny how it all works out.
Mine is white with red interior. I loved this color combo before I had the car. I have owned several white cars and love the white/red. It is work to make it pop, but can be done and it will look milky white gloss when done well with brilliant highlights.
