The C4 turned me into a car guy. Coming froma background of compacts and Honda's, the C4 took my breath away. From first turning on the engine and hear it roar to life, to the distintive smell the C4 has. A true classic. I'm looking for a C4, I have a C5. When I first purchased the C5 the interior wasn't the greatest, it reminded me of a typical GM interior...didn't have the same feel I had with the C4 - not to mention the umphh!
I think the overall appearancce inside and out is more intimidating than the C5. The C4 is a little rougher around the edges, but this works for me as mine is not an everyday driver. If I had to drive it to work, I would probably find a way to afford a C5.
Simple... I want to be the target of scorn and ridicule from the OT "ballas"
Seriously... the C4 in the looks department beats the C5 hands down to me. The performance aspect... the LSx platform is the future, and the C5 has that, but the C4 still has the "old school lineage" going for it, plus it still feels like a performance car in the way they were percieved to be... a bit rough around the edges, but no-nonsense (diaper-wiped garage queens aside). I love the fact I can turn off the ASR in my '96 and boil the tires up into 3rd while hearing the Flowies scream if I so desire (LT1 or not, there's no sound like a small-block Chevy at 6000+ RPM!)
hmm.. might have to change my sig to "It's a C4 thing...you wouldn't understand!"
