I like the C4's attitude. It's a badass.
Sorry but I always found the C5 a bit girly. I think I've seen too many middle-aged blondes driving them slow with that fixed stare over the wheel

I would totally go for a nice black Z06 tho

I had an '04 EvlBlak C5 since early '05 as a second owner...I've modded it up crazy :LTs, loudmouth, Cam name it..C5 had it..My wife didn't wanted to drive it anymore..its too loud!! decided to sell the C5 earlier this year but kept my BLU C4...something bout the body lines the C4 has..I love it!! you see C5s and C6s everywhere nowadays...C6 will take C5s spot one day and the C4 stays aint letting her go..

Clamshell hood, sports car cockpit are two big reasons
When ya pop that "clam" it gets looks for sure.
Plus I like the interior "fit" and the digi-dash and all. Plus it drives and handles like a sports car with the grunt of a muscle car...

the LSx tecnology is far superior. that being said, the C5/Z would be the only one to get, then mod it mildly. there is no "C4 over the C5" in this arena.

Well it's a "little" thing, however you don't have to back up let someone move, race around to the other side before someone gets the spot or sit and figure out which side your gas goes in. You can pull up to either side of the gas pump and get your fill. Maybe that's a girl thing? LOL

There are a billion or so C4's, so parts are cheaper and more plentiful.

I like the 91-96 C4 styling better anyways. C5 looks like a melted bar of soap.

I do like the C6 the best, though.

Any of you guys who say a C5 is like a Mercury Sable or a Honda Accord obviously has never driven a C5 Z06. The 405 hp LS6 is brutally fast and with a few mods ie: headers and a cold air intake, you will be thrilled at the performance it delivers!

Now if I could find myself a C5 to C4 body kit conversion I would have the perfect car.

Default I Have Driven The First Five Generations of Corvettes...

and they are all somewhat different in style, handling and performance. One nice thing about the C4 cars is that they are the last generation of Corvettes that can be repaired at home. And the parts are fairly easy to find at decent prices.
All that said, we love both our 1995 C4 Coupe and our 1966 C2 Convertible. Both great cars and both have very different qualities.

I like both.

Different feel in each car but close enough to know they are both Corvettes.

I've always loved the C4 bodystyle, particularly the early ones. I could have a C6 or C5, bought mine because i wanted it. I loved the sleek lines, the C5 just too big, the C6 I could go for but it just didn't get me like the C4. My little car has been the best i've had, and i've made it mine and one of a kind along the way.

The C4 is smaller, and its "hindquarters" is not that big. I also like the pop-up headlights more C4 has more roadfeel (so i have heard) than the c5

i'm all over that gig for my next one -- i'm fighting myself over the idea of a mildly modded C5/Z much sooner -- or C6 (base, mild mods) down the line. the realistic and practical matter is to have a host of dealers and other individuals locating the C5/Z that fits my reqmts.

at any rate, mine will likely be gone within the next 2 years, regardless of the outcome. i've lost my heart generally regarding C4's, they're too old and styling way too dated and i ain't diggin' on that. deep into yesteryear is fine for yuks, garage time nostalia, or beating it to death on some track somewhere till it blows to smithereens. damn shame too, put too much $$ into it, its in excellent condition in & out, engine fully modified, BFD, yadda yadda yadda. they're so cheap now, the kids and the rednecks have taken over.

now i'll sat it agai, with a bit more clarity -- there is NO C4 over C5 in stock form. base to base, there isn't a comparison. if you think there is, then you're in denial based on a desperate attempt to justify your purchase.

I've always thought the C5 looked like melted cookie dough
baking in the oven or maybe a surgical glove stretched over
a lump of mashed potatoes. I can't decide.

I LOVE the understated gracefull lines of the C4.

Personally I've never liked the styling of a C5 Corvette.

Sitting behind the wheel it gives me the same 'feel' my 63 did. And I like the idea that there were multiple interior colors that just don't seem to be available in the later models.

My 88 reminds me of my 66 in the blue/blue are just about the same.
