I have recently come up with a rodent problem. Monday when I drove the vette for the first time in a while, I noticed a little furry creature run out from under the dash on the passenger side. Ran under the seat, then ran back under the dash. Anybody have any ideas on how to get him out ? He needs to find a new home.
One of those cardboards with the sticky stuff on it. You won't kill it and you can pull him off and clean up his feet and set him free in your neighbors garage
Plastic sheeting, and a mousetrap on the passenger floorboard.
The plastic is incase it goes *squish*
I agree - I get a wharf rat in my house about every 4-6 months, and on time the trap caught him across the head instead of the neck - I have the pics - pretty messy.
Use peanut butter for bait. If they seem to be eating the peanut butter off without springing the trap, try just smearing a tiny bit of peanut butter on it - then they have to work harder to get it off.

Not sure if this is just urban legend or not, but I've heard of people finding those sticky traps with nothing but mouse feet stuck to them and a trail of mouse blood leading away...

We have used the sticky boards for years to catch the mice in our garage. They are always hammered to the pad and we have never seen any mice feet left behind on them.

Heat the metal on the trap with a match, then while its still hot, put a little piece of chocolate on it. The chocolate melts to the metal, and when they have to scratch at it, SNAP, the rascal is finished. They LUV chocolate. Hope he didn't chew up your wiring, or have a litter in your air ducks. Then again, a mouse coming from under your dash, is better than a snake. I think I would have a heart attack if that happened.

Man I never thought of that, now I'm really going to be paranoid. I live in the country........
EXTERMINATOR here: Use a snap trap with a little penut butter smearned into the lip. He'll work hard at getting it out. Mice carry disease... Don't just let him loose, "He'll come back". Set a few more up in the garage, where there's one - there's more.
