I drop the car off at the stereo shop comp reads say 22 mile per gall pick up the car and comp reads 1.2 MPG WTF!!!!! they say I dont know why I say there racing the engine. What else could it be? and not the first time with these guys I hope Iam wrong.
Depends on how many miles since the last reset, and did they possibly leave idling for a while? Maybe they just beat the **** out of it! (okay, I know, NOT funny!)
My '87 has reset itself for no apparent reason a number of times.
Lastest trick it did last week one day the speedometer and only the speedometer was in metric. Flicked the switch on the dash a few times...no difference. Shut off the key and turn it on again, back to normal.
Since they may have unhooked the battery, or yours may have the occasional glitch like mine does, I'd be careful about accusing people of anything based on what the digi-dash says.

I was ready to bash the shop until I read the other posts and They disconnected the battery so your mileage reset itself. They are better than I am, I keep forgetting every time I touch the wiring.:o

I have never left my Vette at any shop for them to work on without me being there watching. Because they may do what he said: BTPOOI. I live close to the Tire Rack and Mann's Corvette and have known Steve Mann for over 20 years but still, never leave my baby alone with a stranger for routine work.

Your antique car only has enough memory for about 4000 miles then it starts over. If I remeber correctly.
