Depends on how many miles since the last reset, and did they possibly leave idling for a while? Maybe they just beat the **** out of it! (okay, I know, NOT funny!)

Because if you disconnect the battery the computer resets itself. It was reading the milage from sitting there idling

My '87 has reset itself for no apparent reason a number of times.

Lastest trick it did last week one day the speedometer and only the speedometer was in metric. Flicked the switch on the dash a few times...no difference. Shut off the key and turn it on again, back to normal.

Since they may have unhooked the battery, or yours may have the occasional glitch like mine does, I'd be careful about accusing people of anything based on what the digi-dash says.

That's it. And if they don't disconect the battery while working on your stereo, find another stereo shop.

I was ready to bash the shop until I read the other posts and They disconnected the battery so your mileage reset itself. They are better than I am, I keep forgetting every time I touch the wiring.:o

I have never left my Vette at any shop for them to work on without me being there watching. Because they may do what he said: BTPOOI. I live close to the Tire Rack and Mann's Corvette and have known Steve Mann for over 20 years but still, never leave my baby alone with a stranger for routine work.

I used to work in a shop. Remember the old Dodge Daytona Turbo, they run pretty good. I was ensuring the timing was right.

People do race our Vettes, even the stealerships' mechs.

The battery disconnect resets to zero and the engine running at idle also lowers the fuel avg.

Welcome to reality, they will deny all the way

Your antique car only has enough memory for about 4000 miles then it starts over. If I remeber correctly.

Guess It's time to pull the vacuum tubes and have them checked at the hardware store.
