Hi guys, I am new to corvette forum (first post) and new to corvettes. 87 C4 coupe. Starting having problems yesterday with the clutch being very hard to push in initially, then it clicks and readjusts itself somehow and works normally until you let it all the way out. Then the process starts over. Has anyone here experienced this? Thanks for any advice!
Welcome aboard
Is the clutch master cylinder, full ??
Your description sounds familiar. When I installed my new motor the clutch fork(pivot socket) got pushed off the ball stud. I pulled off the boot and manipulated the fork back onto ball stud.
Worth a look.
Thanks, I will check the cylinder. the clutch pedal actually seems to be a bit higher than it's supposed to be. The clicking and the easier operation has stopped now, it just pushes in hard all the time now. Problem started afternoon before yesterday.
