84 vette question
Is it normal for all the 84 vettes to shift into a high gear when just cruising at in town speeds? I will just be crusing down the street in my local town and my car will quickly shift into 4th gear. brings the car down to almost 900 rpm. Then no one can hear my b&b exhaust. Kinda bums me out sometimes

There is a recall on this.Ive got an 84 that Ive owned since 1987 and it did the same thing.I had a friend that worked for the dealer and told me there was a recall on this.Now,at the time I was told the computer chip was replaced and this took care of the problem,the problem was fixed but member EFI-CFI?got his panties in a bunch when I made this statement so I dont know what was replaced.The dealer would know if the chip was ever replaced for this recall campaign in your car.
