I've rigged together a 4 piece extension socket to remove the battery hold down bolt near the firewall due to being too lazy to go to the hardware store to get a long enough socket extension. I used 2 small screwdrivers to remove the shifter **** C clamp. With some of these repairs I use whatever it takes to avoid the dealership.
I used a fridge magnet taped to the end of some long pointy metal thing I found in my wife's knitting stuff to fish out an interior screw that fell down the plastic panel that covers the front of the trans tunnel.
Actually turned out to be a very good tool, so I keep it in my tool bag
The least effective tool is the ratchet for the top - it's had it and makes horrible noises while barely turning the bolts, but I'm too lazy to replace it.
I once made a deep E4 torx out of a shallow one, I heated it up and out came the chisel and hammer I could have used one of the throttle body screws if I only would have known about that then. Oh well it worked It only took 45 minutes

I didn't know about the throttle body screw when I needed an E4, either - I found that one from my Porter-Cable buffer did the trick, though
As long as I can wrap the chain around it, and there is room for the handle, it's coming loose. It works great when I need to hold something stationary as well.
It actually worked REALLY WELL! I was surprised. I took the real meaty file to rough it in and then the smaller ones to make it perfectly smooth. Put it in the vice, get your files, a case of Budweiser later, and WAH LAH!
