Those 50W foggers aren't gunna do diddly now. :D Actually they will, just not what you'd normally see in upgrade power with stock lights. I don't use mine on the highway much anymore, but on the side roads they are still very handy and light up the immediate front and sides very well.

yeah i still got the stock fog lamps and we noticed no extra illumination being added when we turned the fogs on so they are just gonna be on to kinda look pretty for the next lil while but i will get them up to 50w aswell as on certain days there is no need for headlights to be up but there is still a need for a little lighting but the thing is that all the bulbs for the fogs at the auto shop i go to didn't list as to what wattage the bulbs were they just wrote 12v so i didn't want to be picking up stock bulbs again thus i didn't bother getting them.

oh and scorp one more question you have the apc bulbs that are 90/100w ..... don't you run the risk of overpowering and melting your wiring harnesses like i've seen many people do on other cars??

I agree with Scorp on this one...If you just want to spend money then get some but don't expect much change if any. The fog lamps on these cars are the most disappointing thing about them. I know in 96 they could have designed a much better fog lamp. :yesnod:

Lets put it this way, mine hasn't caught fire yet! :) There are quite a few of us running these, and I haven't heard of one issue yet with them. Also, get the 50W fogs, they will still help in some situations. It just won't the a "dramatic" improvement that you would of noticed before.

I know the 50 watt upgrade helped out way more in my 86 then in my 95. With the 50 watt bulbs in the 86, I could drive around with just the fog lights.. in the 95, I wouldn't attempt it in a parking lot much less on the street.

I did get my headlight upgrade from MAD... it's got 60/55 watt H4 Xenon bulbs in it.. and much, much better then the factory lights. I do plan to go with the brighter bulbs in the future thou... lighting is like HP.. you can never have enough!

Now I know this question has been tossed around before... has nyone found a fog lamp bulb that will match the color of the headlight conversion light?

The 50 Watt bulbs are more "white" than the stock 37 watt "yellolw" bulbs and look way better if you are looking at your car from the front. Before I could not see at all on a dark road with just the 37 watt fogs. Now I can see to drive without headlights on that same dark road! This was a great upgrade for $14.00. I have not yet come across a higher wattage bulb that will fit it without a meltdown. By the way after a year, I am still using Sylvania "XtraVision's" ($10.00 each) sealed beams. They put out alot of light for the $$$$! Before spending big bucks, try these first and I bet you will be happy with the results. :yesnod: If not put them back in the package and return them to Wallmart or where ever and then spend the bigger bucks for Hella's. :yesnod:

No. :nonod:

APC does not make a foglight to match the Xenon Plasma H4s that I have. :( Trust me.... I've been looking for a long time.

I did have a pair that I found online from http://www.prostreetlighting.com which were "white" but did not have the very slight blut tint the Xenon's do. The only bad part was that the bulbs melted within one night's use. :( So there was $35 down the drain.

Apparently there are a couple "white" foglights that take away the yellow shade of normal lights. Like I said, the one brand I tried melted.

Thanks Scorp.. guess i'll go with the bulbs you have and nort use the fog lamps :)

Jim D: I just ordered mine from MAD and got the HIB's, they have the bluish tint to them and are a vast improvement over stock lighting. If you have plans to upgrade to the really bright bulbs in the near future, save your 10 bucks and get the halogen bulbs.. if you want the brighter setup now and don't want to order new bulbs.. get the HIB's.

I still use the 50W fogs on side roads and bad weather conditions. They light up the immediate area nice. You'll notice the (what will now seem like) yellowish light in front of the car.

I did mine the first day I got the car because the headlights sucked so bad.

I'm also running 885 fogs, and I've found they really cancel out the H4's. I run with them off at night, otherwise I can't see a thing. Also, the car is INSANELY bright when its coming at you with both the H4's and 885's.

And if anybody tells you that Ricer's have them...tell them so do Altezza's and Mercedes'. :yesnod:
