Bose systems
Another question from one totally unfamiliar. Can someone diagnose this for me? Wife's C 4 coupe has this system in it and when it's first turned on the rear speakers thump loudly for sometimes as long as 4 or 5 minutes then they are all right? Is this what happens when the amps fail or is it something else? Is there anyway to trouble shoot the system?

Bose uses a relay to power up all the amps when the radio turns on. Sounds like the bose relay might be on the blink....very common problem...so good news you might be able to just change the relay to fix the problem. The bad news is that the relay is extremely hard to remove and replace do to it's location.

Bad rear amp(s) they should be repaired in pairs. Best place is www.drdons.com
If it was the relay, all four speakers would do it.
Also, go to the Audio section and read the C4 sticky at the top of the section, lots of good info.
