If I could get another 20,000 I would be in better shape. It's a bitch to get it right....
That is how it goes.

I may bail on the '67 bird. Woman won't budge on the price.

It's a roller, 9" ford, subframes. Welding is backyardish. No rot, solid body. Some interior missing. Manual steering, no motor or trans, missing some accessories. $4000

Figure motor, trans, misc parts to get it moving, some interior work, paint.. Be like $12,000+ to finish.

Not sure if a '67 firebird street/strip car is worth 12k, especially a 6 cyl vin.

Geez, Red has enough mods to embarrass any stock C5?

What is wrong with this?

This tone makes it sound like one letter and one number somehow makes C4 the idiot cousin of The General?

This is a Chevrolet, isn't? ? ??? Yes I am pretty sure it is.

You can pretty much make it dance to any tune you like??

Oh well, more parts when the 20 something 's smash them into trees or some other relatively statioanry object.

This is close to what mine used to look like. I had the deluxe white parchment interior which looked really nice. It smelled like gas even after I rebuilt the carb, shook like crazy from the cam, and sounded mean as hell. Damn I miss that car. Even the cheezy 60's signet gold color. The vette is invisible compared to that thing. Lots of fun.

Oh well one day they'll be another one, a kandy red one.

Man, I haven't been on the board for months and when I finally pop back on this is what I find?

Joe, whatever you build I'm sure it'll be great man. I'm in the same boat as you, I'm just too stubborn to give up. BTW, I crunched 2nd gear out of the '85 S10 T5 I was running (still your shifter and bracket and all). Time to go find a WCT5 or something. Broke her atleast 5 weeks ago, but with my wedding looming I haven't even had time to look at the vette lately.

Well I bought a 7,000lbs tractor this weekend. Been playing with that.

If I sell my Z28, I'll probably pick up an older car, or something to play with. If not, I have plenty of things around the farm to keep me occupied plus I want to start building a 24x24 garage.

Good luck with the car!
