I just registered and just figured out how to write a thread. This is all new to me never did this before. Here it is . I own a 92 Vette. I am original owner. It has 15,000 miles on it. I do not drive it in the rain. It is garaged at the first sign of snow. The only time it gets wet is when I wash it. I had it stored for the winter put Stabil in tank. When spring came I took it out for a run and it started back firing after it warmed up (15 - 20 min). Brought it to my mechanic he said Spark Plugs are probably fouled because I do not drive it enough. Changed plugs. The same thing is happening to date. Still back firing and almost wants to stall at stop light. Again after about 20 min on road. Also changed gas filter. Any suggestions? Sorry fo being so long just wanted to give a little history.
Welcome!!! This is a great place to ask questions about your Vette. Wow, you bought a 92 new and only have 15,000 miles on it. When you get your problem fixed you need to drive that 92!!! I don't drive my 96 in the rain or snow either but it gets driven when I get a chance. It's not my DD but it still has 72,000 miles on it and runs perfect. Vettes were built to be driven.
Damn straight! 8 years ago I bought a used 92 with just over 60,000 miles on her. Now she has over 160,000 miles. Go ahead and enjoy driving your baby!
Thanks to everyone for the welcoming. This is why I signed up. I need to get a pic posted. When your mentioning injectors do you mean cleaning or replacing? And your all right I should hve been out there driving it.

Hi welcome.. your injectors are one thing that is problematic with gm cars from 89-93.. The GM multec injector is not compliant to any alcohol products, E10 etc. The coils give out. They are probably clogged and or have coils bad. You can check them with a ohm meter to get an idea of the condition of the coils. They should read 12 ohms or more, with the set being in line with each other by .5 ohms +-. If the coils are good the injectors are clogged from no use. We can service those, but since fuel has e 10 I would replace them with either a new or rebuilt set of Bosch Injectors. Do the ohm check first

The man that just posted before me is THE BEST at injectors. Plus he's a standup guy to boot! He'll fix you right up. He's helped many on CF and other forums also with injector problems.
