OK....my wife was able to get the light unpluged but how are you supose to get the bulb out of the socket with one hand? I want to meet the engineer who did this so I can take him out and introduce him to a PARKING BLOCK!!!!!

I'm sure it's the same guy that put the CDM for the radio up under the glove box on the 92s.
He got promoted from exterior design to interior after his superior tail light work on the early C4.
The American way
I'm at a total loss now...I'm really not going to be happy if I have to pay someone to change a BULB!!!
Around here the Jiffy Lube places offer to change bulbs @ $4.95 each. I'd love to see the look if an early C4 went in to have all four tail lights and the third brake light done.
Another option is to buy some burgers, brats, a few 12 packs and invite some local Corvette people over.

You are in Ohio thats close Brats and beers for ya.
All my experience with No Screw C4s is theoretical.
He lies... He helped me on my 87 once
What we ended up doing was pulling the back wheel off, then taking off the inner wheel well cover and then reaching up that way. It's been a few years, but it seems like it made it much easier to do. Worth a shot anyways!!

I reach in through the license plate hole and remove the inner taillight lenses. Then I reach in through the inner taillight lense hole to replace the outer bulbs and I also replace the inner bulbs that that time. Then hook them back up and bolt the inner tail lights back up.
That is alot easier than going in from the bottom. You just have to be careful and not scratch the paint. I did go ahead and clean out all the yellow paste where the bulb screws into and covered the bulb base with bulb grease. As when I was pulling the bulbs, a few of the glass from the bulbs pulled out leaving the base in the socket.
One thing I hate is getting the fuse cover back on my 89. Mine didn't have a ****, so I got a ****. And now it takes me 20 minutes to get the cover on. It makes it not worth it to have a **** as the cover is easier to get off without a ****, than it is to get it on with a ****.
Well, I hope one of my buddies can do it, I just tried and my forearm will not fit back there.
Do you have a 12 year old, skinny neighbor kid? Get him to reach up through the license plate "hole" to change the bulb for a ride to the ice cream shop... That worked for me when I needed to change one of my bulbs.

Is it also a good idea not to touch the bulb? I've always heard that it shortens the life of the bulb if you touch it as it gets the oils from your hand on it. But I don't really know of anyone using gloves to handle bulbs.
I did put some gloves on when I replaced the bulbs in the dash, I really didn't want to tear into the dash any sooner than I would have to.

Jiffy lube said $9.99 no matter what kind of car So I will be taking it there.

Believe me I did toy with that idea when the 3rd brake light on mine was out, however, just picture them taking a screw driver trying to PRY your taillight out. That is all I could imagine...
Hate to say it, but if you really want to take it somewhere, maybe you should take it to a dealer... You will more than likely get raped, but at least it will be done. Price all 4 while you're at it. If it's the same labor charge, may as well get them all done at the same time
