My first race aganist a C5. To be fair he was on street tires. I was the left lane. The line up starter picked me from two cars back in the line to be with the C5. I saw him motion the announcer that I was his choice to win. The pressure was on.......the nerves went beserk.......I just tried to do everything right. It paid off and it felt good!
My best run of the night was a 13.272 @ 101.77 R/T of .286 and a 1.853 60' it was a good night!
Thanks for pointing this out. I'll never be accused of being the most observant individual in the world.
All I saw was a black vette that I knew was supposed to beat me. Just a lucky run but I'll take it. I went up to see some friends in the stands after this run and when I returned his friends were looking at my time slip through the glass. It was on the seat. They said nice run and for me to lighten up on their friend that I was making him look bad. Oh well............
Thanks for all the great replies!
On another note, there was a Honda Civic there that was running 150 mph and bogging off the line. I couldn't believe it! He was a professional driver from Mathews NC. Amazing!
