Default Mini!

I have a 1978 mini planning on putting a 1400cc motor in it, It will have 130 hp in a car two guys can lift. My question is do you guys thing it can beat my 84 in 0-60 and the 1/4 mile? And how many people like mini's and any other thoughts on minis? I personally think they are just funny to look at and can't wait to get it running.

Mini's are  . If you are doing up a 1275 cooper "S" engine with all the goodies, it will give the Vette a run, thats for sure. I used to hang with some guys that raced these things and they MOVE. They even ICE raced them. That was a ride I'll never forget. You can even get cross flow heads and a Nitrous kit  They handle like they are on rails too. Have fun, keep us posted.

 What's a Mini?
an itty-bitty english car... Sir Alex Issigonis designed it many moons ago... became the roadmap for the modern car: frontwheel drive, transfers engine, effiecent package, hatchback... et. al.

They handle like something stupid.... insane. light, quick. amazing. they have won races, rallys, take your pick!!!

they use 10" wheels - tall, not wide!!!! but they look cool with the wide tires and fender flares!!!

oh, and they were not imported here after 1972 - crash and emissions.

Mini's are my favorite car, next to the vette. I almost traded my 85 a few years back for one. They are hard to find in the states.

Lots of them up here, they were being sold right up to about 1980, I believe. They were the original meaning of ZOOM, ZOOM.

Lets see. Its not slammed to the ground. I doesnt have a wing that look like it was stolen from a bi-plane. It doesnt have a 5 inch chrome exhast tip that sticks out a foot or so. It dont sound like a weed wacker. I dont see one each time I'm on the road. NOPE not a ricer.

:D Its NOT a ricer, its one of the British "roller skate" type cars, sort of like the Bugeye Sprite. Unfortunately the ricer kids will probably do exactly that to them.

I like them, the new ones coming out look pretty cool. They'll be competing with the Beetle and the PT Cruiser, and I like the Mini by far better than those two. It's got alot of style to it.
