Just not the same thing at all........
I see lot of people selling there 93 corvette off as the 40th anniversary model, look on craiglist eBay where ever, only the 1993 ruby red corvette is the "40th anniversary package", manage how many people buy a 93 corvette and think there getting the real deal! ruby’s will be and should be worth more then the plain 93's and when people put and add the badges on the cars is faults, if some one want a 40th anniversary they should buy the real deal! Same goes with the zr1!
Not sure why no one can see the point, maybe some ruby owners or the zr1 might chime in!

Do you really think all us 93 owners are that stupid or dishonest? No one else can see your point because it's nonsense. I have never represented my car as an "Anniversary Edition" Corvette nor have I seen anyone else do it. I have seen some dealerships and misguided individuals selling cars they know nothing about as Anniversary Editions, but we in the forum are little more educated. Your comment implies we're stupid or dishonest, re-think your words. On top of that, to compare putting 40th emblems on a 93 to putting ZR1 emblems on an LT1 is just not a good comparison. For a guy without a C4 (according to your profile) you make some bold comments.

Maybe you should go play on another forum..........

All 93's are 40th Anniversary models. Built in 1993 hence 40th anniversary. The Ruby is "40th Anniversary Edition" All still built in 1993

I have thought about this, all 93 owners need to know what ever they put on there car they will never have 40th anniversary package sorry but that’s the truth and face it! I say things how they are, sorry if I defend any one, the way I see it and I’m sure many more think the same way too!

Why can't you get it, none of us are saying we have 40th Anniversary Edition cars, that's what you keep accusing us of. I am not an idiot, neither are my fellow 93 owners on the forum, we all understand clearly what we have and understand that "truth". If I wanted a Ruby I would have bought one, it's not like they go for a big premium.

I'm not "defended" (????) just don't want you saying I'm not aware of what I have or that I'm trying to represent it as something it's not. If you had a C4 you might understand where I'm coming from. I don't see others posting to support your position either.

Represent mmm thinking here....... 40th anniversary edition cars were ONLY ruby red and came with the badges only! it does not seem right when people with plain 93 vettes have them now does it? There very misleading to other people! And I seen people do the same with zr1 badges same point! I have looked into c4s to buy, I like the ruby red 40th's and email few about fake 40th's and the owner's think have the anniversary package and something very special, mmmm said what had to say wait and see if and one else will chime in with this,

You are clueless. Have you ever been in a 93? They all have the same emblems on the seat as the Ruby. If you want a Ruby, get one. I am not misleading anyone, I'm not saying I have a 40th Anniversary Edition car and neither is anyone else. This thread has been running for a while now and no one has said anything to support your position.

For a guy that hangs out on the C6 forum (all of 10 posts) and states he owns a C5 & C6 you sure don't seem to understand the Corvette culture. I remember one of your posts about buying a cheap budget car cover for your C6 at K-Mart, a cut rate cover for a $40-60K car? You can afford a C5 & C6 but can pay for a nice car cover? Let's see a picture of your C6, I would be interested in seeing your ride. You just sound like a poser who's trolling to me.......

Sorry for the controversy here, but thanks for all the replies or I should say most of them. A 93 is a 40th anniversary Corvette regardless if it's a ruby red anniversary edition or not.

Good example, go read what they're saying about you now. Here's a few comments;

Thank you for your insightful comments.I'm sure all of OT will take them to heart.Maybe.....We will start an anti rebadging movement. If you have any other pearls of wisdom....Be sure to post them here...We will respond in the proper manner.......

It's just a car..

This thread is so C6 Gen ...

We should care because?

Excellent job bringing this to OT when you got ripped in the original thread And 40th Anniversary on a '93 is far from badging a non ZR1 as a ZR1

Way to make an impression
