I have had to put one of my Vettes outside under a cover to make room for a new project. My neighborhood is full of squirrels who delight in climbing up under cars to nest (my occasionally-driven Isuzu smells like a smoker when I start it due to the acorns the critters pack on top of the converter). The driver's side window on the covered car doesn't close all the way and I know the squirrels will find their way inside the car.
Any good ideas or methods to keep the little guys out from under the cover?
There was this guy who recently bought a new Kia. He left the window down a little and the next thing you know, there were two gerbals driving it around town with loud music playing! I mean these little guys were "styl-in & pro-fylin". Somebody even caught it on video and made a commercial for Kia with it. Imagine what you can do if you let the squirrels in a Vette!

Get some OIL OF PEPPERMINT. I got a little bottle at a one of those health & vitamin supplement stores in the mall. Put a couple of drops on some cotton ***** and put them under the car. You can suspend them from the frame rails or anything you want with pieces of scotch-tape. Rodents despise the smell and will stay away. This works in your garage too for mice. Just toss some soaked cotton ***** around in there every couple of months and they'll leave you alone. It's powerful stuff, so don't get it inside your car or house unless you love the smell of peppermint!
'bounce' dryer sheets keep mice and 'bushy tailed rats' (squirrels) out from interiors of my cars that are homeless...90% effective underhood...open the box, spread a few sheets around, leave the box in the car...i pull a few new sheets from the box at intervals as the smell does diminish with time.
