At work I have to use a garage but I am relatively safe. I usually can park next to a pillar on side of my vehicle and then usually it is someone that I work with who parks on the other side of me. We all know who drives what and look out for each other.
At the mall or wherever I have learned to say screw it and just park wherever. If I park way out, even with my truck, someone will be right on top of me, so why bother. I think there is less chance of someone intentionally damaging my car/truck if I park with the masses.
i got hit in my own driveway i guess someone turned around and used my driveway as there turn around. had a hole in my bumper about 4 inches long had to replace the hold rear bumper
I think nearly everyone is sleeping through "Common Courtesy 101" class these days.
yup, I almost rear ended a SUV this morning because she did the dive in front of me while I'm stopping at a light trick. Then she glared at me like it was my fault.
Where I live, NW Indiana, which is so close to S. Chicago, Gary IN and the like, people here go out of their way to ruin anything "nice" that you have.
Ex. My wifes NEW Toy. Rav4. Two slashed tires with-in two weeks, seperate incidences.
Car keyed the third week.
Smashed window the third week
and...almost totaled just two months ago...by a Hummer.
Multiple door dings the first month.
After getting the plates put on, the "magical" problems went away as the asshats couldn't tell it was new anymore.
DO NOT take your car out in my area with a "new" registration sticker on it, you'll be sorry.
I NEVER will leave my 'vette anywhere unattended, the first time I did recently, someone stole my rear emblem....two weeks old new too me...go figure!
I'm so sick of where I live..........................

They use the smallest space allowable for cars and it is a scratch and a ding waiting to happen. They know some of these spaces are too small but DGAF. And then people get mad when someone takes up more than one space. In my ram, at some places, I HAVE to take more than one.
Funny you should mention that. Where I work, some guy with a brand new Ram pu took up two spaces, just because he could. Our spaces are pretty wide as this is a postal installation. When I came out after work to go home, somone had put a dead squirrel under his wiper arm

I just got the car back from the paint repair shop. They did a fantastic job! They even fixed a small bubble that had reared its ugly head soon after I painted it. I thought I was going to have to repaint the hood myself but now it is taken care of. They also fixed my first rock chip.
Sometimes it works out for the best. It's 65 degrees and the top is off. No more snow!!! Life is good

Several years ago I had a brand new Hyundai - there is no one else in the parking lot and a woman wheels in right next to me and SLAMS her door into the side of my car. When I started to complain to her she is all offended and acts like I'm some kind of jerk - she didn't even apologize. Takes all kinds...

Had you rear ended her it would have been. Not everybody nails it at the yellow.
Just got the front of my C5Z blasted with rocks because some azzhat decided to load his tractor on a trailer still covered in crap... of course it all came flying off when he hit a bump in front of me.
I just had got my old 1980 gp painted last fall, so im driving down the road for a nice sunday drive to get something to eat when here comes this 90's black nissian with a couple guys in it speeding by in the laft lane, all of a sudden they slow down and turn in front of me in the slow right lane and roll down their windows and start throwing stuff out the car ( hoping it would blow back and hit my car) while they looked at each other laughing.
I took it for about 30 seconds and then floored it, i like the look on their face when i flew by them giving them the one finger salute.
They didnt no my old 80 gp was packing a souped up 400, anyway people are idiots, these same people expect you to feel sorry for them when bad things happen to them, they shout at their children for doing wrong, pretend to be model parents or americans, they are hipocrits
Dirty rats!
