I just finished painting my Vette last fall. I finally had a nice day to drive it to work and wouldn't you know it - some joker backed into it while parked in the parking lot. At least he came in and let me know. He didn't think he really hurt it but the estimate was $1,300.
It seems like I can park way out in a parking lot all by myself and when I come back someone has parked right beside me and there are plenty of other places to park. It's like there is a huge magnet that just attracts people. Does this happen to anyone else?

I had a Honda Del Sol and it was a great car, except for one minor problem. No matter how far I parked from where I was going, or where I parked, it got hit.
That poor little car got hit seven times while it was parked. Only one person left a note and I caught another one when my alarm went off while they were trying to drive away .
At school I park in a parking deck with 4 floors. I go to the third floor where there is still a roof over my head but not many people usually park there. The only people that park there are people with nice cars (for the most part). A BMW M3, Mustang GT, 370Z, Jaguar, and a GTO.
Long story short, we all usually space out our cars so no one parks next to each other. One day, late that night my car was the only one upstairs and guess what, some moron parked right next to me. Not only that, Im pretty sure they are (insert own words here) because they parked so close to my car that I could not walk in between the two cars. Now Im pissed big time because there is no way someone could get out of that car and not hit my car, and oh yeah, how am I supposed to get in my car? So not knowing what to do, I waited for the person. They lucked out and did not show so I climbed through my passenger side very carefully and got into the drivers seat
Then I pulled out under a light and checked for scratches. I did not find any but I was still very upset!!! Remember, I was the only car upstairs and I parked away from both entrances!!! The other car was a pos nissan.
Im still mad! Oh well, now I get my friend with his stang to park next to me on busy days. He is very careful and we synchronize our parking so that we open our doors away from each others car...
Its only a matter of time, and that is when no one better be in my sight because I dont know what I might do...
Hopefully you have better luck and everthing gets painted and matched properly!!!

lol geeez sounds like lasvegas drivers what type of note was it lol was one that said i hit you try to find out who or find me lol
NEVER PARK YOUR VETTE IN A PARKING LOT!!!!!!!!! First it's low and people who can't see a Hummer H2 will definitely not see a vette. And second people just love to screw with nice cars. I had a custom Roadrunner that I would park very far out and not take multiple spaces and people would park their POS as close as they possibly could to it. But at least this guy owned up and didn't run.

Hell, people are so ignorant/arrogant/rude these days, most don`t even know the meaning of courtesy, especialy the immigrant population from the India/Pakistan areas. At least it seems that way in my neck of the woods. On my most recent trip to the local Dunkin Donuts, the clerk snarled " & wadda you want?"
A few years back we had an Isuzu Rodeo parked at work and the AC repairman dropped a ladder across the hood and both front fenders. I took it straight up to the body shop and they told me $2100. I went back and told him and you could see the blood drain from his face. He said the owner of the business was going to make him pay for it and asked if I could give him some time. I went in and called them and told them I didn't care who they got their money from but they were paying for it not him. They groaned and stalled a couple of days but they paid.

You should have answered "to terminate your mother's pregnancy, but it looks like I'm 28 years too late.....guess I'll settle for a half dozen glazed and a bear claw".
