I'm guessing your transmission is a 700R4. If so it can be made to handle far more horse power than you will ever throw at it. I am sure PeteK will be along to explain how.

Sorry rain just happens. but for the Bra Look on Ebay I got the last one for bolt on but Im sure someone else will post another one. (It took me months to find the one I got and I kept my lips close till I got it on my vette)
My 20 year old transminnion is going on me. What should I be looking for the same kind I got now or is there a better one for a c4 1990?
(I did a search and it was not my friend.)
Then you are doing it wrong. I have spent the last 5 or more years on this forum doing my best to answer everything I could about transmissions for the c4. Without doubt, thousands of posts.

Based on my comments above, I can only recommend a search. I just don't have it in me to type another 5 page how to article on what I have done dozens of times.
I just don't have it in me, unfortunately.

You need to make a couple CDs on Trans builds, Engine builds, then if someone wants to pick your brain you can just send them a CD...(At a nominal fee plus shipping of course)...I will take one of each please......WW
IMO a rebuild can be expensive, but you can get it done for less than new. You can build the 700 for far more than you will ever probably need, but only a few have ever tried like 700hp with them.
As far as I know the 700 made continuous improvements until the last year used.
