Guess im stuck driveing a MINT corvette on the weekends doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.
I told you before keep it and take care of it. Buy a c5 instead of a c6 for now.
You could always trade in the c5 for a c6 later. The c6 is the latest but not for long.
In my experience everyone(except for us smart people) wants the latest and that makes it more expensive.

It's not as exciting as a gold '87, but here are some pictures of one of the cars that was built by Callaway to customer specs to be much like the Sledgehammer. It has front-mount intercoolers and that tall short-runner intake Callaway used (I believe all are called the "100+" intake):

Similar Supertrapp exhaust:

Incredible carbon-fiber work that unfortunately an owner drilled holes in to mount N2O "cooling" for the intercoolers:

Thats not actually the 100+ intake, but a miniram.

The 100+ was hand built by Callaway and looks very much like the intake on the Sledgehammer.

Interesting. It's hard to see it with all the chrome in that picture, I figured it was just dressed up.

Did 89-010 come with a regular TPI setup from Callaway?

89-010 came with the miniram intake. The 100+ hasnt been in production for a long time. Its very labor intensive to build, I would assume thats why the miniram was used for the #10 build.

No wonder they cost so much couldnt even imagine having to change a water pump on that. Sure its worth it when you drop the hammer at 80 though.

The miniram existed in 1989? I always assumed it was a knockoff of the LT1's intake design that came later.

That car was built 1994-ish. It started life as a standard b2k and was sent back from England for a "bump" in HP

1989-010 was built with the TPI, like all other Callaway B2K Corvettes that year.

The TPiS Mini Ram was released in 1990. The LT1 was released in late 1991, initially installed in the 1992 Corvette
