I like the early Blue Flame inline 6/Powerglide combo. I once looked at a '54 with the idea of using it as a city car.

Nice! How much does it cost to do a restoration like this? Cant wait to see it finished! Any other photos of the project?

Generally, the labor is the most expensive part of the restoration. Certain parts can be difficult to obtain. I have several parts manufactured for 53 only, out of necessity.

I'd love to read this Vette's biography.

A "reborned" Vette. Where, who, how and when was trashed, found and restored.

The 53 was purchased by it's owner several yrs ago as a project car. It was sent to me last Fall. It is nearing completion of a complete frame off restoration and will pass any NCRS or Bloomington Gold judging when finished.

Oh, and it's also for sale by the owner.

You are doing the Lord's work my son.
One of the Docs I used to work with traded his 53 in on a brand new two-tone blue 82 back in the day. Seems like he still had to come up with some cash to make the deal work. Let's see; the 82 is now worth about 8K and the 53 worth 100K? Not his brightest move.

Why are you posting about a 53 in the C4 general section?
