Hay guy,s help my ant. in my 1986 will go up but not down and the motor will not stop running.

The nylon rod that moves the mast up and down, is most likely broken. You can buy the repair kit (nylon rod with finial end) from GM for about $25. You have to drill out the rivets and open the body up to replace the parts, use machine screws and nuts to close it up.

You can unplug the antenna relay (under rear trim beside hatch latch), until you repair/replace the antenna, that will kill the running motor problem.

Ok I been takeing the fuss out but need to disconect it is there any digram of were the plug is and any of how to get to the motor. I don,t have the man. manual yet.
