Freeze Plugs
The other day I found anti freeze under my 84. took it to the shop and the verdict is 3 bad freeze plugs. I am going to get all of them replaced. My question is $350.oo to much?

What is the shop's hourly rate ?

Mechanic told me thst it would be a lot of work because of having to jack up the engine and such. Not sure of his hourly rates $45 or $50 an hour is the standard rate down here. He rebuilt trainy and put in a stage 2 for $1500 about a year ago.

All depends on your mechanical skill. If you have none, that's a bargain. If you're handy with the wrenches and have or have a buddy with a cherry picker, it's an outrage.
Replacing block plugs is easy. Getting to them, not so much. Which do you have more of......money, or time and skill?
