Default remote entry driver side

the remote on my '95 lt1 only opens the passenger side door. I have seen other C4 owners using the key to enter as well. Is this a hard fix? Does anyone have any suggestion where I could start to troubleshoot this?

Explain what you mean by "Only opens the passenger side door"?

If it only open the passenger door when you push the button on the FOB, that is what it is supposed to do.
The button on the FOB will NEVER open the drivers door.

Rolla is correct. The car is working as designed. The fob is Passive only. The owners manual spells this all out, but the bottom line is it does not work like a regular fob. The door button turns the system on and off. It also will unlock the pass. door. Locking and unlocking the drivers (and passengers) door is accomplished by walking away from and towards the car, if the system is turned on. Otherwise it is a manual function.

Also, you will see lots of C4 owners using keys, no type of factory remote was available before 93.

Just to finish up the info. to get the drivers door to unlock, stand next to the car and hold the lock button till the drivers door lock cycles. Now when ever you walk up to the car the drivers door will unlock and when you walk away the doors will lock, the horn will chirp and the alarm will set. To turn off the feature, stand next to the car and hold the lock button again till the locks cycle. but to restate, the key fob button does not control the drivers door lock, just the passenger door.
