I searched but wasn't really able to find an answer to my issues. I have an 84 that is plauged by the normal problems of the design. My drivers side headlight works fine up and down no problem. I swapped relay to see if the passenger side would go up and nothing but the drivers side still worked, so I think both actuator relays are ok. When I pulled the isolation relay nothing happened to either light. I am not the most skilled when it comes to electrical so please forgive me if I am asking dumb questions.
When I look at the schematic it looks like the red wire going into the drivers side actuator relay should always be hot. (Fuse Link G) Could that be a problem? Or how can I rule out the isolation relay? If all relays are good then I must have a open in the circuit somewhere? Please helps this is driving me nuts. By the way, the passenger side motor isn't making any noise or anything so I think it isn't even getting power.
I'd had this same problem with my 84 and it turned out to be a bad contact in the plastic connector coming out of the headlight module. I applied some diaelectric grease and now it's okay. You may want to check this.
