Fenco steering rack
Im having my steering rack replaced in my 87.I was looking at Advanced Auto (local)they have Fenco steering rack's.Anyone know anything about these, you know good bad?Thanks

Sorry, I can't help with that brand. Two weeks ago I did put in a steering rack from Autozone and have been very happy with it. My inner tie rod ends were worn and the rack was almost as cheap and certainly less labor intensive than replacing just the tie rod ends. Steering is tight with no leaks or play. Just like new.

I put a Fenco in about 5-6 years ago. The pinion gear was not perfectly centered, so I have a hair smaller turning circle in one direction. Other than that, it's working fine and was only $180.

Turn One rebuilt mine, but it was pricey. But it was done very well, and I had good communication with them throughout the process. Has worked flawlessly all summer.
The reason that I went with Turn One was that I was hearing stories here (and elsewhere) about the quality control issues with racks that came from AA, AZ, and even Napa.
