Because headlight motors are expensive.

And mods kick ***.

I give you credit for undertaking this mod, but I find it looks
very early nineties Camaro. and although we share the Lt1..
I am still a fan of Corvette pop ups, always have been, to me, if the headlights don't hide, it loses something, in the C3-C4, and C5..I kind of lost interest in the Nissan style front end of the C6. its just not Corvette to me. Just my opinion and you know what they say about them, but I applaud all the hard work to create this mod. Best to you, Derek

I like the look.
Is the light better then stock as the stock SB units are not up to much.
How did the alignment go.
Good luck

I'm a firm believer that everyone should make their car their own, and if you like the mod who cares what anyone says, they don't drive it and you probably wouldn't let them anyway.
That said, I think you'll look like a 300zx in my review mirror, but you've got ***** to do that mod and I hope it turns out ok. We need someone always pushing the envelope so the rest of us don't have to.
Good luck.

Next time you put your headlights on try and catch the expression of the person standing near your Corvette. Especially if he is a young kid still in school. Not since 63 did the headlights on Corvettes do more than just pop up like a bunch of other want to be cars that flooded the market in the eighties. Even Porsche tried to get in the act with the thing they called the 928. With the C4 Chevrolet took the tradition of hidden headlamps one step higher.
