the next Corvette

My children drive American cars just as I do and my parents do. Maybe most of the parts are made overseas, that's another issue all together, but we stay as true as possible.
Just my two cents, but I also believe EVERYONE should do at least two years of military service, and that ain't going to happen either.
Why did Americans start selling our country out?
Sounds like you should be living in North Korea.

I see where you're coming from with the American car thing.
The thing is Japanese cars are just a lot more reliable than American cars.
Most people like to get the most from their money and that's why they buy Toyotas, Hondas etc....
I have a C4 Corvette, My dad has a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4X4, Brother drives a PT Cruiser and my mom has a Honda CRV.
Without a doubt,t he CRV is the most reliable car out of the group.
This really has nothing to do with Vettes though, so I hope nobody takes it the wrong way!

And I also think military service should be required. Seems people only understand patriotism when it's time to wave a flag as they say goodbye to those who do understand it, then toss the flag in the trash when they turn the corner with a look of relief on their face.
I've owned one foreign car in my life and I only had it because I was helping out a family member in time of need. But my wife drives one, but that's her, not me!
Bummer is even if you own American most replacement parts are made overseas.
Too many have pumped into the foreign money system already it is what it is>
Just dont bitch about the economy and lack of jobs as you wash your Hyundai

(I read an article that in 2010 it became the WORLD, but I cannot confirm that.)
Subaru operates the ONLY automotive plant in the United States that produces ZERO chemical waste. It is in Pennsylvania.
About 1/3rd of the cars in my area in Naples Italy are made by Ford.
The Polezia all drive Ford Mondeos.
Jeremy Clarkson drives a Ford GT.
Range Rover pays Ford for it's 4.0L V6
Did you notice that there is a lot of Ford stuff here? The US automotive market does have a lot of stuff overseas. Unfortunately, Chevy hasn't really capitalized on it.

I did stare across the DMZ into North Korea for many, many hours and definitely wouldn't live there, but I do have a lot of South Korea good time stories.

Hubba, hubba.

In the 50s, engine technology was all over the place. Even the Vette had the Blue Flame 6.
In the 60s and 70s, displacement was king with the Ford big blocks, the Chev 427 and 454, the mighty Mopar 426 Hemi, ... etc.
In the 90s, the LT5 and the pushrod 350 came roaring back. Even the smaller displacement 302 Ford was making some noise.
In the 2000s the LSX series came along and delivered a mix of power and economy that would have been science fiction in the muscle car era.
What do you think someone in 1970 would say if you told them that the Corvette of the future was a 350 DOHC engine? What if you said that a supercharged 6.2L would be the King of the Hill?
Long story short is that engine technology evolves and it is a good thing.
Personally, I'm glad that my Z06 doesn't have this under the hood:
