Toured with the NCCC for a couple of years every weekend. Won the 2008 Concours Championship. Garage is full of Trophies,Got burned out! Haven't showed the car in 2 years.

None. I dont go to shows expecting trophies or even for that purpose, however there have been quite a few where I thought my car deserved it more than some that won them in my class. The shows I have been to seem heavily biased towards club members and stock cars, and I would have to assume that purists absolutely hate my car. I also dont sit by my car to explain everything to people, so all the subtleties that make my car what it is go unnoticed by masses.
A couple questions to the guys that do win trophies: Is your car stock? Do you hang around your car for most of the show? Are you affiliated with a club who is represented at the show?
I love going to car shows, but this year I had put a lot of money and time getting my car to look great inside and out, and to still return home with no hardware to show for it does get kind of disappointing after a while.

I do belong to a club but am considering leaving it because it can be a lot of BS that I don't need at times.

All of my trophies are from the track, have close to 100 or so, but since we started the trophy upgrade program, only get one a year now not counting special event trophies.
