On average I think it's 4 trophies a year with the corvette but if my corvette had a name like ghost rider I could have gotten more

None. I entered one just to get good parking
Noone was pleased I left it filthy guess it lowered the chances of the C1 and C3 on either side of winning according to them.
I can appreciate someone keeping theirs in show shape, they are nice to look at also- but the show crowd in general (no offense guys) strikes me as a bunch of big babies when they dont win.

I gave up the car show thing a couple of years ago.
I've won a fair amount, but it just wasn't "fun" anymore.
I much prefer to be out driving on those nice Saturdays now.
That is why I got started with the Power Tour.

No I know how many I have won, I guess I should of stated that too for your concern about me. I did not want to go into a long posting of my thread but I guess I'll have to now. It seems like a lot of shows are getting Anti-Corvette giving most of the awards to non-corvette. I just thought that if the "Show Crowd" could share some of there results I could get a better sense of why I think we are being discriminated against at the non-Corvette only shows and this is not "Big Baby" related.

Melting Slicks
In a year and a half of me owning my 90 I have scored three trophies even
Though I go to car shoes just for fun.

None here either. While i like to go to the occasional show, once i make the rounds and see most of the cars, i'm out of there. Never understood how someone can just sit in a chair beside their car on a beautiful day and not have the urge to want to just drive the crap out of it, after all that's what they are built for, to each his own i guess.

I really like to show my 86 and drive it. About 4000mi last year. I guess I receive 12 to 15 awards a year. This year a attended 20 shows and received 19 awards.

This is the kind of response I am looking for, so if most of the those awards were from non-corvette only shows maybe I am wrong.

None. I dont go to shows expecting trophies or even for that purpose, however there have been quite a few where I thought my car deserved it more than some that won them in my class. The shows I have been to seem heavily biased towards club members and stock cars, and I would have to assume that purists absolutely hate my car. I also dont sit by my car to explain everything to people, so all the subtleties that make my car what it is go unnoticed by masses.
A couple questions to the guys that do win trophies: Is your car stock? Do you hang around your car for most of the show? Are you affiliated with a club who is represented at the show?
I love going to car shows, but this year I had put a lot of money and time getting my car to look great inside and out, and to still return home with no hardware to show for it does get kind of disappointing after a while.
