The reason I'm not considering OBX is because they're relatively new to the market. Headers are not a job I want to do twice. I know a lot of you guys run OBX and like it, I'm just very picky, and nervous of products that cheap. I don't mind spending the extra $$$ for a better made part, even if gains are negligible. Like i said, I'm doing this mainly for sound.

You will feel the difference no matter what decent headers you buy.

L98 is positively stifled.

But the sound is mostly from the Mufflers That is where you really change the sound of the motor .

Based on everything you said, OBX sounds like a choice based on your comments and what you came looking for Opinions!! They are good quality, lots of passionate testimonials, and you don't care if a they are made in US.

Flip side... SS are forever. Coat them and you have an engine compartment as cool [ or cooler ] than stock.

But you have to ask... how long am I going to keep this car?????

Nice car by the way there is a fetish going around here about Polo Green, so you'll have company.

I'll cast another vote for OBX. I also experienced a 1/4 mile ET improvement of 4/10's on my LT1 equipped 94 Vette. I didn't have them coated, as they are stainless steel and I'm not worried about them rusting. Under hood temps don't seem any hotter than with the stock manifolds. In fact, they cool down much faster than the cast iron manifolds. I'm all for supporting the domestic companies, but not when I can get equal performance/quality for half the price.
