Had a couple of days with everything working. Realizing my road trip video was a bit tame I picked up this nifty GoPro clamp and shot some acceleration clips on my commute. Traffic was too heavy in the mornings so most are evening runs. Still tame, but more-or-less street legal.
Amused that you used the Fremont on-ramp onto 85 SB, I'd recommend the Stevens Creek onramp onto either 85 NB or SB for a better clear shot.
I'd love to check the car out in person when you've got the time.
I've been keeping your interest in mind. Since it came home it's spent more time in the shop than in my hands. I'm hoping Borelli's will resolve that. It'll be there tomorrow, by the way, if you're going to their open house. Tell 'em I said it's OK to pop the hood and have a look.

Cool! All being well I'll be stopping by.
I was hoping to bring our Barracuda to the show, but I spent all day working on getting my '86 somewhat road-worthy. As it is, it's gotta go in to our mechanic on Monday to try and resolve some rather frightening loss of braking.
The left rear brake/signal lights have been going out. If you watch my road trip video you can see them go. We spent a lot of time that day, bruised our arms and lost some skin changing the bulbs to no avail. When I came back to have them change the cruise control brake disengage connection Dan probed the connector trying to trace the problem and after futzing a bit they came back. After I got a few hours south they were gone again.
I had my local mechanic look at it and he replaced the flasher and re-seated one of the pins in the connector and they came back...but were gone again 3 or 4 days later.
I had my son follow me over when I dropped it off at Borelli's and he said they were working again, but when I went by the shop Friday they were out.
It appears to be an intermittent connection in the connector...C104, I think...the big one at the base of the steering column. Likely just an old C4 problem, though a lot of work was done in that neighborhood so it's not impossible it's related to the swap.
May as well ask, how good's the plastic around most of your factory wiring harness connectors? There's plenty of bits on my '86 that look like they'll fall apart if you sneeze within a block of them... and some that have from less.

It may not be the connector itself, but very near the termination. Look for broken strands inside the insulation that you can feel by pulling on the relevant wire. the insulation will stretch a bunch where the copper strands are broken. It is a strain relief issue near hard connection points. years and years of vibration etc. I've seen it many times over the years and not just on cars.
It's easier to just run a new portion of wiring bypassing the terminal block and connect it up where you can reach the circuit more easily..
Local shop gave it a looksee to see why it's throwing codes. Smoke check and other tests revealed no issues with the installation---"just needs a tune":
