While attempted manslaughter is somewhat of a stretch, I believe this is clearly a case of reckless endangerment and as charged would be a felony. This guy should lose his license for years, lose the Challenger to the state, be responsible for all costs past what the insurance company would pay, and maybe spend a little time in a county lockup. That type of behavior really needs to be discouraged - especially when it causes an accident (not to mention running from the scene).

Glad to see the OP is OK though.

Vader first off, glad to hear you are alive and kicking. Cars can be replaced even though it may take time to replace it to the condition of what you had. Please do us all a favor and get another C4, we can't afford to loose you on the forums.

They do, they know where he lives and works. The first state trooper brought him back to the scene as they were pulling me out of the ditch.

Wow! Thank the good Lord you are ok!

But DO NOT underestimate your neck pain! I have been in 2 accidents that left me with 'minor' neck pain initiallly only to have major problems months later! And I have had chronic neck problems ever since. Seriously... DO NOT underestimate this & don't settle with any insurance company (his or yours) for personal injury until you are 100% sure you are ok!

And man...really sorry about the 86!

Default Glad You Were Not Seriously Hurt

Vader,

Glad to hear you were not seriously hurt. Last year I was tee boned by a drunk driver who fled the scene of my accident. He was later caught and found out to have no insurance too. Because he had nothing (Was poor) my insurance picked up all my expenses. I received a concussion and the car took $6000 of damages. My advice - Get a lawyer. I didn't even care about the money and aggravation in my case. My concern was the next victim may not live.

Best of luck.

Un-freakin'-believable. I'm with the guys that say..."Show no mercy." Nail his *** to the wall. Even if, somehow, you end up with a better car than before (and let's hope so), people with their head up their *** need to have a BIG wake-up call.

Glad you're OK!

Glad to hear you are OK. Too bad abut the Vette but it can be replaced, once you are dead that is it. To echo everyone else about the medical check, get your butt to a doctor. I had a minor motorcycle accident about 3 years ago, bit of neck pain for a few days and then about a month later my neck was hurting bad. Had whip lash and did physical therapy which really helped but even today I still have to do some stretching exercises every now and then because my neck will get stiff and painfull. Get references for the meanest, most shark minded, succesful personal injury lawyer you can find and sue this jerk personally along with his insurance company. That is what I did to the jerk that pulled out in front of me causing me to go down with my bike. I didn't get rich and didn't expect to but I got fair compensation. No mercy! You could be a paraplegic or worse yet, dead.

Glad your OK!

you might want to get the neck Though ally checked out though while the case is open, and press charge's against the Morron who caused this if possible.
