Hey everybody, I told him what you all said (he would not check his email where I sent him a link to this thread)

Said he already had been having 2nd thoughts about it shaking, and also the seller acted weird about him looking in some compartment in the back of the car, and said these cars do not have spare tires.

I told him I'm pretty sure Corvettes had spare tires up until the 1997 model, is this correct?

Told him he could find another one probably better out here.

He said he was going to call the guy and tell him he changed his mind.

Yes- all C4's came with spares. The seller sounds like a weasel.

When he called, he asked the seller one last time to let him have the VIN#, the guy says "no, I don't do that, people can do things with a VIN #) so my brother said "yeah, like run a Carfax"

Then the guy says "if the car does not sell in 2 weeks, I'll just keep it" and my brother said "good luck with that" and hung up!

That's the best outcome. Remember, it's a buyers' market and the selection is good if he uses a wide enough net. He'll be able to do much better.

Well to be fair, ALL C4's did NOT come with spares.
For the late model C4's, Run Flats were an option. You didn't get a spare with them.

But the "weasel" comment as related to this thread sure does apply.

I would just mess with the guy for as long as you can just to waste his time. tell him you want to take it to a shop and put it on a lift tell him your ins. company needs the vin for a quote for you and you must have it, then make a ad on feebay, then you can get the used car report for free for us all to see.
