I'm trying to figure out if I can somehow connect my Android to the car stereo.
Here what I got
Pioneer CD player, it doesn't have Aux connection on the face, nor is it bluetooth equiped. Is there another way to get it connected?
If you have the transmitter, yes it plays through the radio, but it is not as good as a wired connection
The right way to do this is with an AUX plug. I use ipod, Sirius Satellite Radio, and cell phone. I've tried all ways to transmit or play music into the great designed Bose Corvette Radio System.
The Ghost has a Pioneer Radio with an AUX plug and lets call that connection a 10.
Betty Boop has the super duty Bose with cassette. The cassette adapter is a 5 and the FM transmitter is a 3.
Don't know if this wil help but I have a Alpine in my truck it has a plug in the back for a CD changer got a patch cord and run my Ipod thru that. Your Pioneer my have something on the back also.

Yeah, but its easier to plug the aux cable to the headphone jack.
Hard wired is the best for sound. Sometimes the FM ones can get good signal. One of my cars the FM sounds great in the driveway but once the car starts moving it can't keep the signal...on any channel.
In my C4 I use my FM adapter to simply charge the iPod...then use the headphone jack to a cassette adapter. Not the greatest sound but better than FM.
Well I ended up picking up a cable that goes from my RCA jacks and give me a AUX connection. Problem is my Pioneer doesn't have a AUX input channel. I was able to get my wifes Droid RAZR to work using the cable on a different stereo thats has the input. Then when trying my Droid RAZR found out that my headphone jack is no good, connector won't stay in place.
Bottom line is now I gotta take the phone in to verizon and decided the hell with it..... I'm getting a new stereo with the USB connection!
I got to try this one. I got a memory stick plugged into my USB with about 4GB of Headbanging and Rock Music.
I did!...
Bought a medium grade Kenwood today with Aux and USB.
When I connect the Aux cable its fine and works perfect. I tried the USB to phone...it charges it but won't play my AC/DC and Uncle Ted. I'm thinking I need a to do something with the phone to get it to work that way.
I'm somewhat an hi-fi nut and have to say I was extremely skeptical about using an FM modulator, but when you take into account that vettes are not exactly known to have the quietest interiors in the first place I figured I wouldn't be loosing a whole lot in sound quality when you factor in good old road noise too. After using it the first time I was rather shocked how good this sounds with my stock Bose!
It will connect to your phone via bluetooth so there zero cable connections unless you want to charge your phone. You can even keep your phone in your pocket as you can control everything from the GOgroove.
EDIT: Okay just saw your post that you bought a new stereo, so my recommendation is for someone else !

My stereo is made to work with an iphone or ipod through the usb. You control your library with the stereo controls.
