Default Louvers?

So, I have a buddy with a 1996 c4 it had a huge spoiler before and now has louvers on it. With both of them people give him crap and say it looks stupid but it really looked badass to me. He got rid of the spoiler already and just has louvers now. What are the c4 communitys thoughts on this?

Don't be so concerned with what other people think of you.

I would also install some ambient lighting underneath to give it some extra pop as well. Need some pics though when you get a chance

Not on a Vette IMO. I think they look better on a Fox body Mustang hatch back.

If you're seeking our approval on louvers and huge spoilers, you may be in for a disappointment.

I agree it would look heinous, but that is his Vette. Why do you ask? Where and who is your 'buddy"?

I think it looks horrible (the pics in the thread reinforce this), but to each his own.

He can glass in a coconut tree and a tiki hut for all I care, just glad there is a big ocean between us so chances are remote that it will show up in my neighborhood.

Now here's a man who clearly love's his louvers. So much he didn't paint the tail light covers to blend in, but to STAND OUT. I assume he doesn't get the intended purpose taillight louvers were made for. I must say though, living in Florida, the rear window louvers would be nice for function, but...I just couldn't do it.
