Most rear glasses come with all the hardware to mount to the "B" pillar (the one behind the seat) with 4 metric 13mm nuts. It would be easier to go that route than to remove the two "pin" nuts and the adhesive. Plus it's difficult to position the glass correctly on the flap. The down side you usually have to repaint the flap to match the car, but its far easier than gluing on a new glass. What parts do you have now?

Yes, I took the "flap" off of the glass when I repainted mine this summer. I wish this post would have came about 1 month ago when I put mine back together and I could have taken some pics.
To remove the "flap" from the glass, you need a spanner wrench (I welded up my own) to remove the 3 round disc like nuts holding the flap to the glass, then there was some glue holding the flap to the glass that I had to use an old hair dryer to heat up & then use a couple plastic body panel removal tools as wedges and it finally came off. After I had the flap off, I used a punch and drove out the pivot pins on the two hinges so I could do the repainting.
After I got everything painted, I put the hinges & pins back on, and instead of a glue like came on it stock, I just used silicone adhesive, left the 3 round disks a little loose, had a friend of mine help me hold the rear glass in place while my wife started the 4 nuts from inside the car. I then lowered the window onto the weather stripping to make sure it was fairly even, opened it back up then tightened up the round discs. I know I probably should have used better glue on the glass/flap, but the silicone should be fine. Then I snapped on the prop rods. Works fine.
