Your C4 got totaled, what would you buy for a replacement? Would you buy another the same year and options, would move up in model years, would you buy what ever the best deal you find, or would you just get out of a C4?
Please explain your choice.
Me, I would buy another 6spd car for sure, but I think it would either be a 96 or a 90. 96 for the LT4 or a 90 for the updated interior and the earlier styling.
There are tons of C4s on the road. Many with low mileage. In my book, that is plenty for a new ride, and re-start modifications right away. I would stick to a 95 and 96 models only.
Id replace my ZR-1 with another one.A low mileage original that I can molest all over again, pretty much like the one I have now. That 90 with 100 miles on the clock would work.
"Allways wanted a low milage Corvette!" A '96 C4 or '98 C5 "Both Vettes Rock!"
"Just bought the '96. Will be giving it an attitude adjustment as well!"(smile)

Another C4 for sure. It would have to be a stick with Z51 or Z07.
I would look for the best deal I could find but this time I would have a 5 figure budget.

We don't have to worry about it in N.GA. I did a rear 02 and cat delete on my 07 Z71.
Assuming we're staying with a C4, I'd go for a '96 because it's the "least old" of the C4s. A LT4 would be interesting, but I'm lazy and don't want to shift any more.
I have always thought about a second C4 and that one would be a stick which I would mod, beat etc. But if had to replace my current car I would stay with the auto look real hard for the right vert, stay 95 or 96 lower miles and maintained. The way I use it now is to just drive it and have fun not so much work on it. I prefer to jump in it and go as I would now take my 96 anywhere.
lots of modded c-4s out there for the good buy. I am "hot rodding" mine as weather and time (and bucks) permits. If mine were smashed I would look at a c-5 FWC (1999/2000) or go with at least a 87 because of the up grade with the roller motor..and think I would get a vert this time around.
