cd player repairs?
I just bought my '91 coupe a couple weeks ago and the cassette player works fine but the cd player doesnt. Has anyone had any experience with this? I would like to stay stock if possible so is a repair the best way to go and if so does anyone know of a reputable place to do it? Thanks in advance!!! :chevy
You can have the CD player replaced in those Blows units fairly cheaply. Happened to me about 5-6 years ago...and at the time it was only ~$75. Dixie Electronics in Charlotte NC did mine...but i'm sure with a little hunting you may find someone local that can do it.
I had problems with both my cassette and CD, and he was reasonable. He's got great "how-to" instructions on removal and reinstallation on his website.

Dr. Dons in Texas is the absolute greatest for all Bose repairs, and he is a super guy. He really helped me out, and stands behind all his work, and ships and repairs on the promised timeframe.
