$5K would be a decent paint job and depending on the quality of the work, it could easily go into 5 figures. But a color change should include the covered areas such as door jambs and the area under the rear hatch. That can add hundreds to a paint job.
Also, the painter may want to use a different color primer under the blue paint. Primer colors can make a big difference in how the base coat looks.
If I did it I would use the same primer base and clear as Gm did on the JSB cars. I think that is the best color GM has ever came out with. Quasar blue is close tho.
for a quality paint job...changing colors from Black to any other color, you are probably shy on estimate. If you were going to black that might do it. I would say prob closer to 8-10,000. Good luck, you could always do some prep yourself, save some $$
no thanks! Black is nice if you can keep it clean. Jet stream blue is amazing tho! easy to keep clean and way more eye catching!
I had a couple of black cars before my C4 and the blues on vettes are really starting to grow on me and there are some really sweet colors out nowadays on the C6's and C7's
Another color I really really like is a flat white with black accents
Me too!
Blue is always my 1st choise (Marina, LeMans, Mulsanne, Jet Stream I love all of them) but I have to say the return of Z28 in flat white with the black wheels and trim really caught my attention.
Thanks Kimmer. They are mallett 435s I believe. extremely rare and hard to find. They are actually for sale for 2 grand with the tires. They are forged 3 piece aluminum too. super light.
