need a switch

Hey guys,

I've been having some issues with the wipers on my '85 and would like to replace the switch, problem is I'm having trouble finding one. does anyone have a source for this switch?

I dont know what issues you are having but you can take the switch apart, clean and lube it for better operation. I did this to my '85 and it works much better. A lot of wiper issues are actually generated by the printed circuit board in the motor itself. This board is made of unobtanium and you must take your chances with used ones from a recycler like vette2vette

thanks guys,

I've just started having operational issues with the wipers, some times they work like they should, other times they will stop in mid-swipe, then at times they won't go into "park" mode. sometimes just working the switch back and forth they will be ok, other times not so much. the weird thing is that they ALWAYS work if you put them in "high" vs. low or intermittent.

I was hoping to find a new switch as I hate to put used electronics into my cars, I will if I HAVE to but would rather not.

I need to pull it into the garage and tear into it a bit, just wanted a switch on hand to put in while I'm doing it.

Check to see that all screws are in wiper motor cover and they are tight.
Poor ground transfer between motor and cover, gave me similar problems.
