Wow must of slipped behind the glove box somehow!!!!!
I am thinking it was bubba...they hack saw'd the evap case to replace it rather than take the whole thing off...I have repaired it pretty cleanly but I am thinking the loctite fell in during that reinstall.

Wow really yeah I really hate it when Bubba does that.
So I live in AZ and having an A/C that doesn't pout out icicles means I'll park it instead of drive it .
System has no leaks, new expansion valve, evaporator and condenser all the blend doors working properly and the high low pressures in spec. Best I'm getting out the vents is in the mid 50's (verified all the blend doors closed):, when it should be in the 40's.
What am I missing?
Happy memorial day weekend to all.
I live in Az and I understand what you mean when it starts to sizzle outside. I live in the east valley area and the temps are starting to climb. I just got my first Vette 2 weeks ago and the previous owner had it charged as part of the deal. However mine was already converted to R134 and it does blow cold. I have not yet run a thermometer on my vents yet, but I can feel the cold especially the other day when it was 107 in my area in the shade. If you haven't converted yet from R12 I would suggest you should-HOWEVER that is only my humble opinion.

Thanks for the reply; my '95 came with R134, so I'm in good shape. Filling the gap did the trick - I've got great cold air now.
Is there a thread on how to perform this check? It sounds like you have to remove the blower motor, but I was just wondering if you had a thread on the forum that you followed in order to do this.
Thanks.

Remove the blower motor and have a flashlight handy and look for the vertical gap. Pretty simple see post #12
Here's my issue and looking for some advice. It's95 degrees here in CT and I thought I would take my 2003 out for a ride. Well, no a/c! I stopped by my local service station and he said a was down about a pound of the R134. Charged it up, but now, I only get a/c on the passenger side. The drivers side is blowing hot air. The mechanic there said it was probably the blending door and its electric motor. Is this correct? Is there any way to test the blending door motor before he starts to take my dashboard apart?
Any other thoughts would be appreciated. I bought car new and never had this issue. The car has 64,000 miles.
