After a one car accident (avoiding an imbecile who almost t-boned me)
my 96 coupe was laid up for 5 weeks for cosmetic repairs (made the mistake of paying too much money up front so I believe my job was put on the back burner) . The battery was disconnected, the passenger door was replaced using all the parts from the damaged door plus a new door ajar switch. I had replaced the door ajar switch in the other door.
Since the return of my car the key fob no longer works (Installed new battery, tried reprogramming the fob) . The low tire pressure warning light comes on when first starting but after some travel goes off but comes back on.
Any suggestions for the problem and repair. My first vette so please bare with my lack of knowledge.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Have you been able to program the fob but not have the system go active? If so how long are you holding the fob button when trying to activate the PKE? Also is your dash indicating the passenger door is open?

Thanks for mentioning the passenger door. When I sat in the car to see if the dash indicated the door open , I found out the door could not open from the inside. The handle was screwed up. I called the body shop who did the repair and will see him shortly to check out the door. I have a feeling their installation of parts from the damaged door may be the problem. Will keep you informed. Thanks again.
