I like the looks of tinted windows, but be careful not to go too dark.

I had a tint on my '94 that made is look darker from the outside, but was practically not noticeable from the inside.

Last summer I bought this '96 with window tint. It is much darker. I find that even during the day I don't use the rear view mirror because it is so hard to see out and I use the side mirror. I like the looks of it from the outside, but I think I will remove it.

That is fine.. sold my previous vette without issue with tint..

I also wear sunglasses even on cloudy days, the tint helps as my eyes are light sensitive (bit more that others)

I was under the impression that I could just leave the tint on permanantly. By the responses so far, it seems that in time I will have to remove it eventually and that sounds like a problem. I had one car I restored and flipped awhile back tinted and it was never really clear. I think I'll probably pass on the idea of tinting my Corvette windows. Thanks for your opinions!

What?

All my cars are tinted, and it doesn't interfere with the defroster's operation.

OP, is your car. Read about ceramic tint, it better than regular tiny. The decision is yours to make, not the public.

the problem is when you want or need to remove it. as I said on my other post call around and see if anyone will guarantee your defrosters when they remove it.

Tint will keeps it a lot cooler in a hot climate, it will also block 99% of uv rays that damage carpet, seats door panels etc and if the tint ever does go bad years down the road it can be remove without any damage to the defroster as long as you remove when to tint starts to go bad and don't wait a couple years after it starts to break down to do it.

I'd take a dry heat over a moist heat any day, and I know all to well about our heat here in SC. Getting mine tinted in the spring!

Mine are at 20%...not legal in Fl or any surrounding state.. can be a chore in nightime traffic. That being said I love it and would not change. The car doesnt get driven a lot. The a/c works a lot better.
