I rebuilt front calipers and replaced both rear calipers. I bled all of them
at least 6 times. Have nice clear fluid at all wheels, and no bubbles.
I have a nice hard pedal... until i start the car. The pedal goes down
but doesn't seem to bottom out. Its a soft pedal. I didn't let the MC
go empty. Kept the level up at all times. The booster works. Firm
pedal then start up it goes down.
Does anybody have any thoughts as to what i'm doing wrong or forgot
to do?

So, the brake pedal feels solid until the car I turned on, then it just goes to the floor when you push on it and does not come all the way back up and feels soft?
If you then turn the car back off does the pedal stay 'soft' or return to a solid feeling?
Just trying to get a clear picture of exactly what is happening.

your pedal was fine before?? you bled in series. RR, LR, RF, LF with a break pedal partner?
My service manual says to bleed RF-RR-LR-LF
I did the one man process and then used a vacuum pump.
Does the car have to be running to bleed them? I never had so much
trouble bleeding brakes as on this '88. My '85 was very easy.
Maybe it has something to do wit the ABS?
That sounds to me like a bad or going bad master. Once it has the power assist it can't handle the pressure. Bleeding a master is usually only necessary if you only change the master and don't want the hassle of bleeding the entire system. Once you've thoroughly bled the system the master is fine.

I did my 94's the traditional RR, LR With break pedal assistant & with a pump bleeder. Both perfect pedals. Manually. at Idle. Pump up the pedal. hold to the floor. open Bleeder tighten. all the way around. and not allowing the Master to empty!!!
