Black on Black with GS Stripes and wheels.
It's a good driver quality car.
Console trim needs a good cleaning and refit, and the AC needs work. Attachment 48013805
Nice ride man. Havent seen a black one striped like that
Soooo I just checked CL. Its not something I ever checked when I was in the market bc I when I finally could pull the trigger I found my C4 somewhere else.
Anyway, I do see some really low prices for C4 in pretty good shape around 100-130k miles. But 8/10 are autos. So these really low priced LT1s shouldn't surprised me. I hadn't noticed them before since I never looked at autos. Not sure why the LT4s are so low tho..
Manual production #s are so low I'm gonna guess they'll always fetch a premium
This LT1 96 was $3100 for me. 172k miles. I'm at about 4600 overall cuz I bought tires, headlights gears, and got my mechanic to replace the rear main seal. Runs rich but runs great.
I believe the market was becoming good for sellers earlier this year due to the C4 becoming a little more accepted as a collector. However, that small spike was short lived as now the market seems to be flooded with every imaginable variation of C4. If you look hard enough there is a deal for everyone at every price point.
The real question is how long will this bubble of too many C4's on the market last?
If mileage goes up, value goes down... everything else being equal. So yes the base model values are still going down, slightly. The ZR1 and Grand Sport values are starting to go up a bit, in general. But the base C4s will not see a meaningful spike in value for another 10+ years. They give a huge bang for the buck.

You know what, maybe that's what I saw when I purchased a few months ago. And now its starting to get real low again.
I'm sure some C4s will get pulled from the mkt bc sellers will see how horrible it is to sell. But most will remain for a while and keep prices low.

That's a good deal w/ that paint quality. Auto or manual?
About 3 years ago a local guy to me bought a 96 LT4 red / black in very nice condition and highly detailed.
It had belonged to an aircraft mechanic that did some real nice cosmetic upgrades under the hood to give it a little extra pop. 100K miles and the price was $7700... I was amazed!
I have been looking for a while, pulled the trigger this weekend on a 1990 convertible for $5k. The car has 105k miles, same owner since 99 who only put 24k miles in 17 years, a lot of time in his garage. The car is in better shape outside than in, have some work to do on the interior and some (so far) normal maintenance issues the owner wasn't doing. Happy so far, going to quit looking at CL for a while because I am sure I will see something better next week.....

Haven't seen a convert w/ that color combo, looks nice
Some of these deals are amazing. I definitely paid a bit of a premium for my color & combo but I love the car.
After seeing some of these LT4 prices I'd say the market has bottomed out. Do yall agree?
I don't see anything close to these deals in socal (for 6mt LT1s or LT4s) but everything is more expensive here
Where in SoCal are you?
One thing that is certain is prices go up in the summer. Winter has better deals.
Another thing I noticed when I was looking for either of the vettes I had was that all the vettes that would appear in the 4k - 8k range would get bought very very quickly.

Im in northwest LA and Ventura county area. There's actually like none in Ventura, gotta search in LA county.
Totally agree on the sub 8k range. 6-8k seems to be the spot if you want a quick sale.
cant imagine decent C4s going below 5k bc even 5k will barely get you an old decent DD sedan in socal. I searched that mkt for months bc that's my current DD lol So Imma guess mkt is at rock bottom.
